ARRIVING BY AIR
The new international terminal at Marsh Harbour International Airport (MHH) welcomes regional and domestic flights from Nassau and Florida on a daily basis. Carriers include American Airlines, Silver Airways, Bahamas Air, Sky Bahamas and Western Air Bahamas. Flights from Florida originate from Ft. Lauderdale, Miami or West Palm Beach. Future plans include direct flights from Ontario. The private Marsh Harbour FBO offers convenient Customs and Immigration service as well as easy access to local transportation or rental car services. Schooner Bay is a short 30-minute ride from the airport. For Bahamian domestic flights, the Sandy Point Airstrip (MYAS) is just 20 minutes from Schooner Bay and is accessible by private planes and light jets.
ARRIVING BY SEA
Abaco is a short boat ride away from Nassau and the other neighboring islands, providing a perfect location to start and end excursions at sea.
The Schooner Bay Harbour Marina is ideally located as the closest marina to the famed Hole in the Wall sport fishing grounds. The protected harbour basin offers dockage for vessels up to 70 feet with an 8-foot draft at mean low water and is centrally located along the cruising route from the Abaco Cays to southern destinations including Nassau. The marina offers fuel, power, Internet access, showers and laundry facilities, provisions, overnight accommodations, bait and tackle, and golf cart rentals.
